<h4 style=”text-align: center;”><strong>Sivaprasadh .R</strong> , <strong>DivyaJaisree B.T</strong>, <strong>Harish Vikram T.T</strong> – Our Opportunity school children wrote the class 8th examination conducted by directorate of Government Examination. In Government of Tamil Nadu Examination they came out with flying colors all the papers they wrote.</h4>

<h2 class=”vvhhone”>HISTORY</h2>
<p style=”text-align: justify;”><span style=”color: #000000;”>Vidya Vikasini School which was started in 1973 went on to evolve into a full fledged Higher Secondary School with Arts, Commerce and Science. Today the school which is situated in Thudiyalur, Coimbatore caters to students living in and around Coimbatore.</span> <span style=”color: #000000;”>This institution was started by our Founder Director Mrs.S.S.Jayalakshmi in 1981 with one or two differently abled children with a view to integrate these children into main stream of education, empower them and create confidence amongst the parents and the Society at large. Today, this school has strength of 110 with multiple disabilities like autism, mental retardation, dyslexia etc. apart from physical disabilities and the school has been rendering yeomen service to these children / parents. Several children have passed out of the school taking National Open School examination and are earning their livelihood having been empowered to live in this Society in various parts of Tamil Nadu. In 2013 examination, one of our differently abled (mentally challenged) children attended Tamil Nadu State Board Matriculation examination in the normal stream with the other children (class x) and passed in the first attempt scoring above 56%.</span> <span style=”color: #000000;”><strong> </strong></span><strong> </strong></p>
<h2 class=”vvhhone”>CURRICULUM</h2>
<span style=”color: #000000;”>All students have an Individualized Curriculum Programme which outlines their educational programme which meets their specific needs. All students also have Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). The student centered specific short term goals which are planned, implemented, reviewed, and reported upon every 3 months. The individualized Programme is based on checklist of National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped (NIMH), Secunderabad.</span>
