CURRICULUM

The School follows the curriculum of Samacheer Kalvi introduced by Tamil Nadu Government for Classes I-X and Higher Secondary State Board Syllabus for Classes XI & XII.  The Programme of the school is charted out to impart education through systematic work schedule and effective techniques, through ENGLISH as Medium of Instruction.

10.35am to 10.45am – Morning Break

12.15pm to 12.50pm – Lunch Interval

ACADEMIC RECORD

It is a simple arithmetic count of 4 decades of educational service by the society,but tantamount to a giant leap in the annals of the  school history. The results of both Matriculation Board Examination and Higher Secondary Board Examination, are testimonials to the commendable efforts of the dedicated teaches and the taught.

“HAT TRICK” by VIDYA VIKASINI!

The academic year 2017 -18 proved to be a challenge for the teachers as well as the taught, because of public exam for XI std also was included for the first time. But by meticulous planning and continuous action, we were able to produce Hat trick success – Centum results in all the three classes – X, XI, & XII, a standing testimony of the hard work put in by our staff and students.

Apart from producing centum results, many subject centums were also produced by our students, the details are given separately.

We have secured STATE RANK twice in Hindi, the state highest in Tamil 99% in 2012-13. Continuos centum results and good number of centums in all subjects every year. Quite a good number of students have been toppers at the District level in the X and XII Board Examinations.

 

FOCUSED ACTIVITIES

  • Seminar classes for the students, (by the students) enabling them to improve their communicative skills.  In addition to this Communicative skills Classes have been arranged for the classes I to IX and XI to improve their communicative skills.  Extra Coaching Class for X & XII between 5pm to 6pm has been arranged..
  • FA(a) and FA(b) tests and slip tests for classes I to IX, help the teachers and taught to evaluate and assimilate their days work.
  • Resource assistance to the children with specific learning disabilities in the specially designed resource rooms,(constructed this year), through qualified and trained experts in this field.
  • CRE programmes are also conducted once a term by the experts in this field to cater to the needs of children with specific learning disabilities.

Above everything, systematic work schedule, periodic assessments, unbiased evaluation, regular meetings with parents and providing necessary counseling, help to go towards success.

1. Renovation & Revamping of Library:

Renovation & Revamping of Library: Our Management

Aimed at renovation, revamping and automation of existing library, to make it an informative and interesting arena , which will inspire the students at large. All the books were given barcode number and a unique software was installed for scanning and easy accessibility.

2. Solar Energy:

Solar Energy: We believe in saving our natural resources for our future generation. In this process we decided to go for green energy, to save the much consumed electrical energy. A solar panel has been installed atop our main school building which generates power to run 3 HP motor for pumping water, thus saving 100% grid electricity. Gradually we have installed additional solar panel to produce 10+10 K.V .power more.

3. R.O.system

R.O.system: To supply purified water to our students, we have installed R.O. system in 2 places with a capacity of 500 litres of water. This will satisfy the needs of the students and staff of our school Water to the R.O .system is supplied by solar pumping system.

4.C.C.TV cameras

C.C.TV cameras

C.C.TV cameras have been installed in various spots to monitor the students’ discipline and also to watch the movement of outsiders ,when they enter the campus. This has been undertaken mainly to comply with the requirement of the Education department and for the safety and security of our students.

5.Bio-gas project

5. Bio-gas project: Goshala project , sanctioned by the National Institute for empowerment of persons with multiple disabilities (NIEPMD), Chennai, witnessed a tremendous growth within a year. This project was inaugurated on 09-06-2014 with a single cow & calf has risen to 10 cows and 12 calves .Overwhelmed  by  this  growth, our management has taken a step forward in commissioning a Bio-gas plant, to make use of cattle waste and produce bio-gas. Bio-gas thus produced supports the functioning of kitchen at Adult home.
