Hello Vidya Vikasinites!
Welcome back! Yet another academic year 2026-27 is coming up and together with it, the challenges and the excitement of getting back to school and to be with the teachers and friends! Challenges because, the whole educational space across the world is undergoing a quantum leap and we will have to be also part of the transformation that is happening, lest we will be left behind in the race for survival. The current geo political situation does not augur well for the economies in this part of the world and we need to be very watchful how it all evolves going forward. We are not isolated in this process. Challenges aplenty!
The results of the Class XII and Class X Board examinations leave us with lots of happiness and for the youngsters in the classes to follow have a lot to take home from these results and set new goals for themselves. My best wishes to all the outgoing students to achieve whatever they aspire for, but at the same time putting to practice all that they have learnt in the school and the good ethics and discipline to be practised. Today, we have alumni in distinguished positions across the world and they still remember to talk to us with gratitude. My special congrats to the toppers, great accomplishment indeed!
The school continues to invest in infrastructure maintenance and new systems both in terms of hardware and software and gear up the students for the upcoming days of Artificial intelligence and Robotics. Our aim is to expose the children to the latest through people in the relevant field, who have accomplished themselves/ experienced and take back a lot of food for thought. Sports will get its due importance apart from Yoga and other developmental co and extra- curricular activities. We are in the process of revamping our library with very interesting books and sound bytes too! The Founders Day and the programmes therein using technology and thought-provoking themes were hallmarks last year, inherent talents in the students brought out by the creative teachers! Kudos! The statues of Swami Vivekananda and Founder Late Smt.S.S. Jayalakshmi, the icons of self belief installed at the entrance of the school provides for lots of inspiration to the teachers and children as they enter the school compound.
Our Opportunity School continues to excel in their commitment to the cause and yet another year full of activities awaits them. The teachers are in the process of continuously upgrading their skill sets in coping up with the problems that these children face apart from educating the parents continuously and four of our children passed Class X. The “Attral” and other functions like Down Syndrome Day etc. are testimonies to the high levels that we have achieved in our Opportunity school apart from the developmental activities in the Early Intervention and Adult home for the Intellectually disabled children.
In closing, we will sustain and excel in our committed objective to retain our top position as one of the oldest and best schools in the region and for this the cooperation and support of every stakeholder is required especially the parents who have bestowed confidence in our school spanning over generations! A big thank you to our dedicated teachers led from the front by our Principal, who have worked hard on each and every child to reach to the level of success that we are enjoying today.
