OUR FOUNDER (1933-2013)
S.S.Jayalakshmi, our Founder and Director is a role model for generations to come. A favourite daughter to a school teacher, a loving wife, an affectionate mother and above all a teacher of very high reputation and standing! In a life spanning nearly eight decades, she achieved in every sphere, undertaking a sponsored study, a decade after setting up her family and coming out with flying colours, setting up this great institution in 1973 and step by step through sheer hard work and untiring support of her colleagues reaching great heights.
What we see today as this lovely campus is an outcome of her grit and determination fighting all odds. The Matriculation and Higher secondary school set up to serve the cause of education in a rural area today stands as an institution with academic and all round achievement known for discipline. The alumni have reached places and positions of prominence in various walks of life and across the globe. The Vidya Vikasini Opportunity School set up in 1981, is today a model Institution in the country recognised on a PAN India basis showered with many awards and recognitions, serving the cause of the less privileged. An Early Intervention Centre, Vocational Training Centres, an Adult Home and Physiotherapy Unit are all hallmarks of the efforts!
As the institution completes 51 years, we dedicate ourselves to the vision of the founder, her high moral philosophy and pay tributes to those hardworking set of teachers, some of whom have also joined her up there! The management, staff and students offer their humble pranams to the Founder as another academic year is being ushered in. The Founder continues to be our driving force for sustaining and achieving the very best always.
