SUREST STEPS OF SUCCESS ARE ASPIRATION, INSPIRATION AND PERSPIRATION
Our Founder and Director Mrs. S.S. Jayalakshmi was a woman of courage and compassion. She is an inspirer, etenal light, a pioneer in Integrated Education ,a leader and a role model for generations to come. A favourite daughter to a school teacher, a loving wife, an affectionate mother and above all, a teacher of a high reputation and standing.
Mrs. S.S. Jayalakshmi , Founder Director of the Vidya Vikasini group of institutions, was driven by a simple, yet trial blazing thought of empowering rural children with quality education. That is how a small school found its place amidst lush green agricultural fields against serene back drop of the blue mountains in thudialur panchayat, in 1973. Mrs.S.S.Jayalakshmi’s charisma combined with a handful of passionate educators formed a potent force. Single minded focus and the desire to serve the society, helped the institution to grow by leaps and bounds. The quality of education and its consequent results stand testimony to the founder’s belief that if there is a will, wings shall surely take flight as it did four decades ago. The Institution continues to soar offering science and arts stream to aspiring students. The alumni have reached places and positions of prominence in various walks of life across the globe.
Vidya Vikasini Opportunity School set up in 1981,(International year for disabled), is a model institution in the country recognized on a Pan India basis showered with Awards and Accolades, serving the cause of the less priviledged. An Early Intervention Centre, Vocational Training Centers, an Adult Home and Physiotherapy unit are the hallmarks of her selfless efforts. She has been an inspiration to many and continues to be our driving force for ‘bettering the best’.
