“KNOWLEDGE HAS TO BE IMPROVED, CHALLENGED AND INCREASED CONSTANTLY, OR IT VANISHES”
– PETER DRUCKER
As we usher in yet another Academic year 2016-2017 at Vidya Vikasini, a deep sense of satisfaction immediately prevails on the year that went by, a year full of achievements in all spheres and embarking into newer areas with a single minded objective of improvement of the students. Vidya Vikasini stands for values, discipline and cherishes its past and the standing that the Institution has, in the educational horizon of Coimbatore. Recognized as a model inclusive school, wherein intellectually disabled children and the regular children study together and perhaps the only Institution in this region which offers solace to the parents of these under privileged children from the age of ‘0’ to ’20’ and beyond. The Early intervention Centre, the Adult Home and the various vocational projects have all been lauded on pan – India basis. Adding to this would be launching of a Resource room, training for early identification and tackling of Specific Learning Disability noticed in some of the children in the regular school.
The environment in which we operate today requires knowledge and knowledge is power. I wish the students take up more reading and increase their vocabulary, at the same time follow the curriculum for academics pursuits, so that by the time they take on the world on their own while going out of the school, they will be model citizens, well equipped. Our teachers who are committed to this cause have been providing necessary support in this direction.
As Management Guru Peter Drucker said, as quoted above, we at Vidya Vikasini are committed to this cause of improving knowledge.
